Enhancing Data Transparency & Due Diligence in Sustainable Infrastructure

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Vsadsadsdasdasdasdasdoila!

Without transparent, comparable data, stakeholders can struggle to accurately assess a project's sustainability performance. Project developers often face duplicative reporting requirements, while investors face difficulties comparing projects across different regions and regulatory environments. In this context, improving access to high-quality data and creating a common definition for sustainable infrastructure are critical to attract private investment and manage risk. Standardized and structured data collection can help bridge these gaps, reducing administrative burdens and accelerating investment decisions. The FAST-Infra Label Application Portal streamlines the submission process for project developers. With its user-friendly and structured interface, the portal streamlines data input and access.

Introducing the FAST-Infra Label Application Portal

The FAST-Infra Label is a credible, consistent, and globally applicable system for identifying and evaluating sustainable infrastructure projects, aimed at supporting infrastructure development and fostering a liquid asset class. The Application Portal, backed by Bloomberg’s expertise in harnessing technology to create data transparency that supports investment decisions, streamlines this process by creating a repository of standardized, high-quality data relating to sustainable performance to support investment decisions.

We’re proud we’re able to bring our expertise as the data repository to the FAST-Infra Label initiative so that the sustainable infrastructure data can benefit from the same rigor. In this space, there is recognised need for a consolidated dataset, that has standardised fields in alignment with common normalised frameworks  that allow for cross comparison and data aggregation.” - Alyssa Gilmore, Global Head of Communications, Financial Products, Bloomberg L.P.

Streamlined Project Submission

The portal offers a user-friendly interface for project developers to submit project details, evaluate sustainability performance. The projects can earn the Self-Assessed Label, whereby a project submits data against a strict set of criteria as part of the Self-Verification process. The projects can also earn a Verified Label, whereby details submitted are verified by a third-party assurance service.

Key features include:

  • Guided Submission Process – The portal provides a step-by-step process that walks project developers through each required data field, ensuring clarity and completeness in submissions.
  • Pre-Defined Templates – Standardized options reduce manual input, minimizing errors and saving time.
  • Integrated Validation & Quality Checks – Built-in verification checks highlight missing or inconsistent information before submission.
  • Document Upload & Management – Developers can securely upload, store, and track required documentation in one place.
  • Real-Time Progress Tracking – Developers can monitor the status of their applications, receive notifications on required actions, and track feedback from the reviewing body.
  • Collaboration Features – Multi-user access enables teams to collaborate efficiently, allowing different stakeholders to contribute data within the same application.
  • Submission Flexibility – Developers can save drafts, revisit sections, and make edits before final submission, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Enabling independent verification for Third-Party Verifiers

The portal facilitates seamless access for third-party verifiers, allowing them to efficiently review project data and conduct independent assessments. This enhances credibility and ensures projects meet the Label’s rigorous sustainability standards.

By providing an easy-to-use interface for assessors, the portal reduces processing time and strengthens the integrity of project evaluations.

With the Application Portal now live, projects around the world will be able to use the platform to submit applications and engage third-party verifiers to apply for a FAST-Infra Verified Label, helping to scale and accelerate sustainable investment globally. - Constantin Cotzias, European Director, Bloomberg L.P.

Empowering investors with data-driven insights

Investors can benefit from:

  • Data that investors can trust: Investor confidence is based on trust - by allowing high-quality data to become accessible to financial markets, the Label helps to connect investors to a much larger selection of investment opportunities.
  • Risk mitigation via access to sustainability data: The resulting data set enables investors to see metrics including safeguards, risk assessments relating to adaptation and resilience, all helping to improve investor access to decision-critical information.
  • Guiding investors to the right assets. Using a sophisticated and standardized framework guides investors in understanding the viability of each sustainable infrastructure project, helping to effectively unlock sustainable investment, bringing in the right capital to the right assets.

The verifier will be able to see the answers and data metrics submitted by the project submitter and will then be able to assess whether those answers are compliant or not.” - Jana Blank, Data Team Leader, Bloomberg L.P.

The future of data transparency in sustainable infrastructure

The creation of the FAST-Infra Label Application Portal marks a significant shift towards more efficient, transparent, and accountable investment processes through access to standardized, high-quality data on the sustainable performance of infrastructure projects. As adaptation and resilience become a central consideration in infrastructure development, data transparency will be a key driver in unlocking capital and ensuring impactful project implementation.

The FAST-Infra Label Application Portal is enhancing transparency, simplifying due diligence, and fostering investor confidence to unlock private investments towards sustainable infrastructure.
