What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

With an estimated global infrastructure investment gap of USD 15 trillion by 2040, stakeholders across the world agree on a shared vision: we must finance sustainable, safe, and affordable infrastructure that leaves no one behind. This challenge is especially pressing in developing and emerging markets, where rapid urbanization underscores the urgency of action.

In response to these critical needs and opportunities  and to seek to drive systemic change in the global infrastructure ecosystem, the FAST-Infra Group organizes the Changing World event series, pioneered and spearheaded by Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation.

Finance to Accelerate the Sustainable Transition-Infrastructure Group (FAST-Infra Group) is a unique public-private initiative with the objective to transform sustainable infrastructure into a deep and liquid asset class, while scaling up private investment in this market. FIG mission is to foster dialogue among stakeholders and develop practical tools that provide market confidence and catalyze investments in sustainable infrastructure.

The FAST-Infra Label is the flagship initiative of FAST-Infra Group. It provides a standardized mechanism to facilitate sustainable infrastructure’s emergence as a recognized asset class, enabling greater private sector participation and aligning market incentives with long-term resilience and climate goals.  GIB Foundation is hosting the Secretariat of the Label and Bloomberg L.P. is managing the Data Repository

This event, will convene senior industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to explore how policy, financial innovations, and data-driven insights can drive this transformation.

An action oriented multi-stakeholder event

Organized during the World Bank Group Spring Meetings, the event will bring industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to explore how policy, financial innovations, and data-driven insights can drive this transformation.

The session will:

  • Leverage the asset class concept to enhance the financial attractiveness and bankability of sustainable infrastructure.
  • Examine how policy and regulatory frameworks can accelerate the institutionalization of sustainable infrastructure as a robust asset class.
  • Highlight the role of data excellence in improving risk assessment, transparency, and investor confidence in sustainable infrastructure projects.
  • Underline the impacts of infrastructure sustainability and resilience on financial performance in the context of climate change
